Many different people from a broad range of departments contribute to bids at Advanced Health & Care. From accounts and legal to bids and sales – they all had a common challenge – how to write with clarity whilst always keeping the key messages in focus.
The company needed a course that would be relevant to all delegates and one which would ensure they were all writing to the same level.
The training solution: a more competitive bid team
Writing Machine Academy delivered a two day Structured Bid Writing training course, which Advanced Health & Care rebranded ‘Writing For Profit!’ to make it more appealing to the exceptionally wide range of delegates attending. To make the course even more inclusive, delegates were shown how to use the structuring, clarity and messaging techniques that they had learned on the first day in a range of deliverables. In particular, the second day was tailored to show how the Structured Writing Method can be applied to executive summary writing, the creation of PowerPoint presentations and writing emails.
Client feedback
Delegates were asked to give a score out of five on a list of feedback questions such as ‘Quality of the training content’, ‘Quality of the trainer’ and ‘I have learned new techniques that will enhance my writing’. The average score across all three courses was 4.2 out of 5.
