Improving consistency of writing at Electrolux Professional
Quick facts
Electrolux Professional is the B2B branch of the Electrolux Group. It is a world leading supplier of professional food-service and laundry equipment, and the only company in the world able to provide complete, high performance kitchens combining best-in-class products with outstanding customer support.
Courses
Electrolux Professional wanted to find a consistent way of writing in order to improve efficiency in expressing content. They had tone of voice guidelines, but these were more relevant to the consumer branch of the business, and needed adjusting for a professional audience.
The product communication manager wanted delegates to practice with real Electrolux examples that they would recognise and be able to learn from.
The training solution: Practice with real Electrolux examples
Electrolux Professional chose Writing Machine Academy’s two-day Structured Marketing Writing course. The standard course was supplemented by practical examples taken from the Electrolux Professional website, datasheets, brochures and leaflets. The course was very interactive, focusing on messaging and tone of voice. Delegates learned how to find and prioritise the most important messages, and how to make these come across more clearly to the reader.
Client feedback
Delegates were asked to give a score out of five on a list of feedback questions such as ‘Quality of the training content’, ‘Quality of the trainer’ and ‘I have learned new techniques that will enhance my writing’. The average score was 4.5 out of 5.
“The trainer was very good and clear in explaining different topics by using actual Electrolux examples.”
